Ingredients 3 Tbsp Butter 4 Tbsp Brown Sugar 1 Apple | Tools Pan, Preferably Non-Stick Cutting Board Spatula Knife |
Step 1
Put the pan on medium heat. Add the butter. Make sure that butter melts evenly, so that you don’t get a bunch of burnt apple slices everywhere, except for a little corner where they’re practically oozing butter.
Step 2
Slice the apple in medium-thick slices. You may want to play around with the thickness, depending on how powerful your burner is. Then, add the slices to the pan.
Step 3
Gradually add the sugar to the apples. When the sugary butter starts to bubble, use the spatula to mix it around where the bubbling occurs. Continue until the apple skin pales, then flip the apple slice.
Step 4
To serve: Strain caramel liquid into cup, then put the apples on the plate in some sort of pattern or something. Anyway, then you take the caramel stuff and drizzle some of it onto the apples. Or, as a variation, you could just set the cup of caramel aside, and dip into it.
